Our Story
Whiskey Foxtrot Designs was built around a simple idea: make things with character, purpose, and a story worth keeping.
We’re Brian and Kat, a husband-and-wife team based in Omaha, Nebraska, and the people behind Whiskey Foxtrot Designs. Our work is shaped by military service, family, craftsmanship, the outdoors, and a deep appreciation for the places and experiences that have made us who we are.
Brian spent 12½ years serving in the United States Air Force before being medically retired. His service may have changed form, but his connection to the mission never did. Today, he continues serving his country in a different capacity, working on aircraft much as he did during his years in uniform.
Brian grew up on the Western Slope of Colorado, where mountains, open spaces, and the rugged landscape were simply part of everyday life.
Kat grew up as a military kid, living in different parts of the country and learning early that home can mean more than one place. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Human Resources from Southern Illinois University and is now a stay-at-home homeschooling mom, teaching two of their four children while helping build and run Whiskey Foxtrot Designs.
Despite their different backgrounds, one thing has always been shared: a love of the mountains and a preference for being outside in God’s creation whenever possible.
That is where much of the Whiskey Foxtrot look comes from.
The mountain in our logo, the western influence throughout our designs, the wildlife, wood grain, rugged landscapes, and outdoor themes aren’t simply a style we chose because they looked good. They reflect the places we love and the way we would rather spend our time—under an open sky, surrounded by mountains, trees, and the natural world.
Made to Mean Something
We create laser-engraved goods, handcrafted home and gift items, and small-batch products inspired by the things that matter most to us—family, country, service, the outdoors, American heritage, and the places we call home.
We’ve never been interested in making products that feel mass-produced or disposable. We’re drawn to rich wood grain, worn leather, rugged landscapes, timeless Americana, and pieces that feel equally at home in a cabin, workshop, office, or wrapped up as a meaningful gift.
Many of our products are engraved, assembled, poured, finished, or packaged by us right here in Omaha.
When we choose a new product or create a new design, we try to come back to one simple question:
Would we be proud to give this to someone ourselves?
If the answer isn’t yes, it doesn’t belong in the shop.
Some of our pieces celebrate Nebraska and the Midwest. Others reflect military service, outdoor adventure, books and storytelling, family traditions, or a good drink shared at the end of a long day.
And when personalization is available, your story becomes part of the piece too.
That’s what we want Whiskey Foxtrot Designs to be—not simply another place to buy a gift, but a place to find something that feels personal, substantial, and worth holding onto.
